Welcome to the Rethink Outside Narrative Hub

The Rethink Outside Narrative Hub is the movement’s shared learning space, where message testing meets storytelling.

We translate data and insights into practical narrative frameworks and message guides that help the field communicate more effectively and build stronger support for nature connection.

Each focus area explores what’s working and why, tested messages, key takeaways, and applications for funders and partners to use in their communications, funding, and advocacy work.

Nature & Health

At Blue Sky Funders Forum, we see nature as common ground — a unifying force across sectors. As funders look for high-impact, cross-sector investments, nature connection offers a powerful lever for better health outcomes. This message-testing effort explores how different narratives can help strengthen the case for investing in nature as health.

We created two guides: What We Did & Learned in our message testing campaign with the Nature and Health Alliance and Message Guidance: Frameworks and examples for funders, practitioners, and advocates to communicate the power of nature for health and wellbeing. Nature & Climate (Coming Soon!)

As funders and advocates look for ways to broaden public engagement with climate solutions, nature offers a shared starting point grounded in everyday experience, identity, and culture. This message-testing effort explored how different narratives connecting nature and climate resonate with audiences who may not identify as “climate-first,” but are deeply affected by climate impacts.
